Coming to our Senses, Coming Back to Life

"And forget not that the Earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair."

About the class

Saturday, Aug. 29 ~ 10 am – 4 pm
As Maria Montessori told us, it is through our five senses that we feel alive and come to know the world. But what if we had many more senses? How much more alive would we feel, how much more might we know? Research suggests there are more than 50 biological senses. Join Ecotherapist Rich Silver as you experience the benefits of the ecotherapies through the five senses and more.
Lunch & transportation to site included, $49.

"How shall we know one another deeply, compassionately, fulfillingly, unless we learn more of how the mind and senses work?"
Diane Ackerman
A Natural History of the Senses

We will settle into a beautiful local nature setting where we will spend our time with some teaching, some personal experiencing and group sharing that will bring us a deeper sense of belonging to the world and awaken the body, mind and soul to its greater potential. Beginning with exploring how Nature heals us through our five senses we will play with color therapy, sound therapy and aroma therapy found in nature. We will then explore the value and wisdom of the other senses from the sense of thirst to the sense of Oneness. We will conclude with experiencing the amazing reciprocity of the senses that exists in the natural world.

Rich Silver is one of the most exceptional teachers I've ever encountered! He doesn't just teach but awakens you to who you really are!"
